Lightening Journey To The Angelic Realms
Following a gentle calling from my heart, I was inwardly guided to discover more about my Native American ancestry. At the age of 15 I began to have vivid past life visions of having a lifetime as a Native American warrior. When I shared this experience with my Mother, she took me by the hand and led me to a family photo box nestled in the back of her dressing room closet. From this box, my Mother pulled out an old photograph of the most magnificent Native American woman I had ever seen. “This,” she said, “is your Native American Great Grandmother; her name is Ida Hart.” At the tender age of 15, I wasn’t sure how it could be possible, but somewhere deep within my blood, my bones, and my heart, Ida’s memories lived on.
Years later, as I began my journey of inner healing and search for truth, I would, on occasions, feel Great Grandmother Ida’s presence around me. I could hear Grandmother Ida whispering into my heart, “Awaken and remember. Remember the Native Heritage to which you are a part of.” I would see Grandma Ida’s loving face in my dreams and as time went on, she became one of my beautiful Earth Angels, guiding me on my spiritual path.
More and more vivid visions of my Native American ancestry began to emerge from within the very core of my being. It was through this deep longing for connection to my Native American lineage that I began to study Shamanism. Through the study of Native Teachings, I learned of the sacred path of the Red Road, which included the honoring ceremonies that guide someone on their path to becoming a true human being. One of the sacred initiation ceremonies is called Humblachah, or Vision Quest. This is a 5-day silent retreat in nature during which a person must fast from both food and water for the purpose of calling in a personal medicine vision.
My soul began to call me to make the sacred journey of a Vision Quest. With some investigation, I found a Guide/Shaman who could hold the space for me to do a Vision Quest in Sedona. I meditated for quite some time on the exact date I should make my Quest. When I gave that date to the Shaman, he was intrigued by my choice of that particular date, because it was within the same moon cycle as the one during which I was born. His words struck a chord inside of me, a sense of destiny which hinted at the possibly of a new birth or awakening that would occur within me.
So, I made my journey to Sedona, the land of red rocks, portals of light and vortexes of energy. During the first couple of days of my quest, there were many light rain showers in the area. The sky was full of fluffy white clouds and the earth smelled of the sweet medicine plants after they had quenched their thirst in the summer rain. I had fasted several times before the quest, so I was not hungry, but I was thirsty. The rain seemed to soak into my skin, making me feel as if I could drink through my skin.
On the third day, as I was beginning to understand the animals as they communicated with one another, the world was vibrating in harmony and so was I. About mid afternoon, the Shaman came into my sacred circle to inform me that due to the intensity of the storms that were heading in our direction, he felt it was not safe to continue on. He also informed me that both he and his girlfriend would be going home, and my Quest would now have to come to an end.
My heart dropped down deep into the earth, so far down that I could feel my heart beating from below my feet. How could this be possible? For it is on this very night that the moon connects with the exact aspects of my birth? This was night that I had been waiting for. This was my night of Destiny.
I searched inside my self for an answer and I am not sure how I found the courage within my decision, but it came without hesitation “I will be staying here” I said, “I will stay here within my sacred circle. If I have a storm to meet, I will meet it” With deep truth vibrating from my voice, I said, “I know that what ever the Creator has to offer me right now is not anything more than what I can handle.” I saw that the Shaman wanted to appose me, but he saw the look of determination in my eyes, and said “OK then, I’ll be back for you tomorrow morning”. With that, he turned and left for home.
The day was beautiful. The air was divine and I felt such a connection to the land and the animals. I felt free, and I was secretly happy the guide had left me here to experience this place, this new world, on my own. The beauty of that day was so strong and sacred, that it is etched beyond the memory of my mind and into the very essence of my soul.
When nighttime came, I fell asleep listening to the sweet song of the shimmering stars. It was in the middle of the night that I was awakened by the sound of distant thunder, and a family of bats flying around me. Lightening was striking against the highest mountain ranges to the west. The sky above me was still clear and I thought that perhaps the storm might just miss me all together.
Suddenly things took a turn; a huge thundercloud in the distance turned and headed straight in my direction. With lightning flashing out from every angle like a neon sign, the thunderhead took on the shape of a fiery dragon. My heart stopped, skipped a beat, and grabbed me tightly. There was no denying that the Fiery Dragon was heading straight towards me. My mind was racing with a million ideas to survive. I prayed for protection as I crouched down beside a small bush.
All I remember is the sound that knocked me to the core of my being. My spine felt like hot bricks. From there, I was suddenly propelled through a brilliant white light into a beautiful golden realm. The warmth of this realm radiated into my body until it became my very existence. Within this existence, there was an endless divine peace that permeated every cell of my being. I was fully aware that I had died and I was returning home. It was so easy, so brilliantly simple. The sacred inner feeling of home was so strong inside my being that I wondered how I had ever lived life without it.
As I began to visually explore this beautiful golden realm, I could see that I was encircled by the most beautiful beings of light. These beings were so loving that, as I acknowledged their presence, they began to sing to me. It was through the melody of their angelic music that I became aware that I was in the golden realm of Angels.
These beings seemed to know me through and through. And they saw me for all that I am — the beauty, pain, fear, compassion, hope, and promise. They loved me. They loved every part of me. Their love for me was unconditional and I felt myself basking in the beauty of divinity. I felt welcomed for all that I am. I was home.
Then thoughts began to flow into my mind. I began to think of my Mother and how very sad she would be without me, and how much I would miss my family. Then there was the guide. I could hear him say, “I told her not to stay. I told her it was too dangerous.” As beautiful as the golden realm was, I felt sadness about leaving Earth, as somehow my life did not feel complete. I became profoundly aware that it wasn’t my time to die.
With that, like a flash, I was back in my body and the lightning was crashing down all around me. I had no fear of death for my experience had clearly shown me there is no death, only transition. I felt my body. I was back. My head throbbed from where I had hit it when I fell, but I was alive. I had returned.
Everything looked so illuminated by the lightning. I saw the beauty of the light and the shadows as they flashed across the night sky. I began to dance and dance and dance with love and light and freedom. I was one with everything. I was alive. Every cell in my body was alive. Even now to this day, I am not afraid of death for I know the beauty that awaits me on the other side.
Once the lightening storm had passed, I was there alone in the dark, with the rain falling endlessly from the sky, cleansing and purifying my every thought. Although my head and body were pounding from the strike, all I could feel was an exhilarating joy permeating my entire being. I was alive and life was a gift. I could see so clearly the gift of every precious moment.
Once back home in Los Angeles, I began to feel the effects of the lightning strike within my physical body. It was such a strange feeling to lie in my bed and feel the electrical currents surging and pulsing energy out from my body, across the city. As I couldn’t control the surging, about a week later I became ill with a very bad cold, which turned into pneumonia. I prayed for understanding and for healing. About 3 weeks after the lightning struck, I awoke early in the morning to see a beautiful Angel at the foot of my bed. She was radiant and although I could not see her face, I could see that she was made out of music, and though I could not hear the music, I could feel it. She was so bright, she was like fire to my eyes. As I gazed upon her, I felt a warm flash of light go through my whole being, and then she was gone. Soon after I had experienced this beautiful Seraphim Angel, I began to feel more centered and aligned within my energy field.
It wasn’t long after that I began to receive messages from the Angels for my clients. I had not been practicing in the healing profession for very long. I will never forget the first time someone’s Angel came in the room and gave me a message to give to them. I actually refused to say it to the person. I argued with the Angel (in my head) saying, “No, I will not say that, they will think I’m crazy” but the angel would not give in. Finally I just said to the person, “Excuse me, but does this mean anything to you?” Well, the person sat straight up on the table and said, “How could you possibly know that?” and I told them, “Your Angel just asked me to give you that message. And so it began my love affair with my beloved Angels.
Everyone has Angels and everyone’s Angels long to communicate, guide, heal and help them in every way possible. I love working with the Angels, they are so loving and empowering. I think the most important thing that I can share from the Angels is that we are each divine unique emanations of God. We are here to learn about love, harmony, and peace; creating ourselves, and our world through our light and in the light of God.
Blessings of Love & Light,
